KANGL + AIKIDO SECURITY · ECOSYSTEM ROADMAP

Kangl + Aikido Security.

Aikido gives teams an all-in-one scanning platform with a famously low-noise experience. Kangl is designed to carry that experience across an enterprise Azure DevOps estate through Pipeline Security Runtime, governed by one policy and repaired when configuration drifts.

WHAT AIKIDO SECURITY DOES BRILLIANTLY

Aikido consolidates SAST, SCA, secrets, IaC, and container scanning into one developer-friendly platform, with aggressive noise reduction — auto-triage, deduplication, and reachability-aware filtering — that developers genuinely like.

For teams tired of stitching five scanners together, its all-in-one model and fast setup are a real advantage.

THE OPERATING GAP AT ESTATE SCALE

Coverage is still opt-in

Aikido scans what gets connected. In a large Azure DevOps estate, which pipelines and repositories are actually connected — and stay connected — is an operating problem the scanner cannot own. None of this is a criticism of the scanner — it is the operating layer every scanner needs and none of them ship, because their job is detection, not estate management.

Enforcement lives per team

Whether a finding blocks a build is decided wherever each team wired the check. There is no estate-wide, audited answer to 'what blocks, where, since when'.

No reconciliation loop

A refactored template or cloned pipeline can silently drop the scan step. Nothing compares intended coverage against what actually ran yesterday.

WHAT KANGL ADDS

Your scanner, amplified.
Not replaced.

Kangl performs no scanning of any kind. Everything below is estate operations: the layer that turns a great scanner into an enforced, observable, auditable program across Azure DevOps.

Security Runtime by default

Kangl is designed to deliver Aikido scans through Pipeline Security Runtime: every eligible build pipeline covered from its first run, with exclusion as a visible, governed decision — no repetitive YAML edits, no per-team wiring.

One policy, estate-wide

Severity thresholds and fail/monitor modes evaluated in Kangl's backend against normalized posture — the same verdict logic across every pipeline Aikido scans.

Drift detection and Force Sync

Kangl's reconciliation loop watches for pipelines that stopped scanning and repairs them through an audited action.

Estate-shaped posture

Aikido findings normalized into Kangl's repository-level posture model, keyed to your Azure DevOps organizations, projects, and pipelines.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Kangl + Aikido Security, in practice.

Is Kangl a competitor to Aikido?

No. Kangl deliberately performs no scanning. Aikido detects; Kangl makes detection operable across an Azure DevOps estate — coverage, policy, drift, and audit.

Is the Aikido integration available today?

Not yet. Aikido is on Kangl's ecosystem roadmap as a pipeline-injection provider. Snyk is the production-supported provider today, and the same delivery mechanics are what the Aikido integration is designed on.

What would we keep from our Aikido setup?

Everything — your Aikido account, configuration, and workflows remain yours. Kangl adds the estate layer: which pipelines run it, under what policy, with what evidence.
